I have tested this on both my corporate system using Exchange and my personal system using POP/SMTP.
On my corporate/Exchange setup:
- Set my Options -> Send/Receive -> Uncheck "Send Immediately" -> Set Send/Receive Interval to 5 minutes
- Write an eMail -> Send
- eMail sitting in Outbox ** Also, email copied to Sent Items folder IMMEDIATELY!
- Open eMail sitting in Outbox -> Edit -> Send
- Manually or Automatically (interval) Send/Receive ** Sent Item email not updated
Item in Sent Items folder is the first draft, NOT the edited version.
Did the same on my personal POP/SMTP system -- email not copied to Sent Items folder until the actual Send action takes place.
How can I fix the Exchange system settings to (1) keep my Send/Receive interval settings, AND (2) not have a copy in Sent Items until the final eMail actually is sent?
Thanks!
