Route mail sent from ActiveSync to another smart host

Hi

I have a received a strange question from one of my customers and my first thought is to say no this isn´t possible to do but I haven´t found anything official from Microsoft so I have to ask this question.

My customer would like to separate all emails send from ActiveSync deviceses and send these emails through a different send connector than emails sent from Outlook/OWA.

I´m thinking it might be possible to modify a file in following catalog \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\ClientAccess\Sync* so when we send an email from ActiveSync we add a header in that mail, for example X-MS-Exchange-ActiveSync.

I have some other thoughts as well but they are expensive and dirty solutions.

Can someone tell me if this is possible or point me to a technet article where it says this isn´t supported at all?

Best regards

Mikael
