Running SBS 2003 and looking to block all exchange access to particular clients on the local network. These blocked computers should not be able to send or receive mail using outlook clients or webmail. In fact they should not be able to access the webmail site at all.
What would be the best method to configure this? I have tried going into ESM -> AdminGroups -> Servers -> "ServerName" -> Protocols -> SMTP -> Right click Default SMTP VS -> Properties
Under Access Tab -> Connection -> and entering the ip address of the client I would like to block. However after restarting the STMP & Routing services the client using the blocked IP is still able to send and receive mail normally.
I also ensured that under the general tab -> advanced -> "Exchange IP" -> edit -> the apply connection filter is checked.
Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?
