Outlook clients using Outlook Anywhere Online mode extremely slower when using UAG 2010 for publishing Exchange 2010

Hello,

I have a performance issue with Outlook clients (2003/2007/2010) that connect to Exchange 2010(sp2) Outlook Anywhere in Online modus published by UAG 2010(sp2).

If i publish the same Exchange server (CAS role) directly (without the UAG 2010) the performance is a lot better. I have this issue with different Exchange environments that are published using UAG 2010.

The performance issue is notabel when switching folders and requesting the GAL.
Cached exchange mode instead off online mode will mask the performance degradation, but this is not an option for some of the clients.

The Outlook 2010  - Microsoft Exchange connection status show the following figures with and without UAG.

RPC/HTTPs Connection to Exchange with UAG in front:

Directory -  AVG Resp 278
Directory - AVG Resp 190
Mail - AVG Resp 180

RPC/HTTPs Connection to Exchange (without UAG in front):

Directory -  AVG Resp 20
Directory - AVG Resp 6
Mail - AVG Resp 3

Are there more people with this setup and issue`s?
