Changing autodiscoverserviceinternaluri in internal network

Hi,

For years we have been using FQDN/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml now we have Exchange 2010 and 2013 in co-existence and I am planning to change autodiscoverserviceinternaluri on all CAS servers to same as we have on internet autodiscover.company.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

My questions is in our internal network what I need to do before I change autodiscoverserviceinternaluri?

 Do I need to point autodiscover.company.com toward our CAS servers (via F5).  So in other words if I ping autodiscover.company.com it pings. That is all I need to do or is there something else?
