I only like to keep one final copy of an email and I typically copy the attachement(s) that may have been received with an initial email into the final/last email received within a communication after it may have went back a forth between all receipients many times. I simply used Copy/Paste and I have been doing this for years with no problems.
It appears that with the migration to Exchange 2010 this has created an issue as when I Copy/Paste the file extension is duplicated...Example: File.zip becomes File.zip.zip when Pasted into another Email. This happens with all files (Example.xlsx becomes Example.xlsx.xlsx) and if you continue the chain by Copying a previously Pasted file the extension increases...File.zip.zip.zip, and so forth.
Does anyone know of a solution around this issue as currently the only work around is to Save the initial file to my Harddrive and then Copy/Paste from my Harddrive to the final Email which is a lot of additional steps required from what used to be a fairly simply process.
Thanks,
RAB
