Greetings!
I have a brand new (but currently in production) Exchange 2013 infrastructure comprising of 2 CAS machines, and 2 backend Mail servers. We currently have an NLB setup that points clients to the Client Access Servers, then all processing is handled by the backend machines.
All internal and external access has been running fine, including on mobile devices. The AutoDiscovery function has been working fine, and mail is flowing as it should be. On it's face, the traffic seems to be load balanced, then hitting our Client Access servers, then mail is processed on the backend.
The issue I'm referencing is when attempting to change attachment size limits for EWS users (Outlook for Mac). I have been using the article "Configure Client-Specific Message Size Limits on Client Access Servers" (Sorry, can't link until account is verified) - and noticed that the web.config files are not present on either of my Client Access Servers. This is true for all three of the file locations that are mentioned in the article.
So my question is, why would our infrastructure appear to be working fine through the Client Access servers if vital config files are missing? I'm stumped.
Any advice will help!
Thanks!
