Outlook 2013 Send/Recieve

Hi,
I have 2 unrelated outlook questions in an Exchange (Office 365) environment.
Some users are not seeing new messages in their inbox as it comes in.  For those affected, they can be working on something else (or away at a meeting) and when they come back to maximize outlook (it's always open in the background), it looks like they have no new messages.  However, if they move around outlook (either by going into a folder or just highlighting a different message in their inbox) they will automatically see all the new messages listed.  As an aside, I know the messages are there - I can see them on my phone and via the web portal, just not my workstation.  E-mail is set to send/receive automatically for these users and they don't have any special delay settings.
For the second question, a few users have defined a delay (via send/receive groups) so messages they send sit in their outbox for a few minutes before actually sending.  For 2 users in particular, the check box that says 'Schedule an automatic send/receive every x(5) minutes' gets unchecked randomly.  There is no rhyme or reason to it and can't figure out why it happens.  When it gets unchecked, messages sit in their outbox.  Re enabling the checkbox will work for a period of time but it will get unchecked at some point.  I've tried copying the group and even creating a new mail profile and user profile for one user.  That didn't do anything.
Any help you can give is appreciated.
-Mike
