One of our users is not receiving emails with pdf attachments in client Outlook 2010 but she is receivning them in OWA. I have seen similar issues here but they relate to the actual attachment not coming through. In this case, if the email contains
a pdf attachment, the email itself is not received. We have tested this from multiple senders. The emails all show successfully sent, just not received by the Outlook client. They're not going to Junk/Spam. I tested to verify she can
receive other attachments like .doc, .xlsx, etc. I had the sender shoot over the email and I receieved it fine. The pdf is small, so no size issues. The sender was internal so we are all on the same domain. Literally she is the only user out of 800 that
is having this issue. I sent a pdf that had the file extension changed from pdf to pdg and she got that one. I blew up her .ost file and recreated her Outlook profile. When it loaded, all of her back emails came through from the server, but about
an hour later, she is back to not receiving emails with pdf attachments. I compared her mail settings and security settings and they are identical to mine. No created rules are present. What can be causing this and what is the solution?
(excluding having her use OWA as a primary)
Edit: We are using Exchange Server 2010 SP2 and Outlook 2010 clients. As a side note, when she sends an email, it goes to Sent items momentarily then disappears. The 2 problems started yesterday at the same time and reoccurred at the same time after blowing away the .ost file.
