Server 2012, Exchange 2013 CU2, Installed KB2874216 last night. Services were offline this morning. It appeared the install failed and did not re-enable any services. We uninstalled the update and fixed the services not starting. Also noticed that the mail server was removed from the proper permission groups. Added it back to Exchange Servers, Domain Admins, Enterprise Exchange Servers, etc. This allowed the services to start properly. Resolved all additional Event Viewer errors except a minor .Net issue. Noticed topology sync errors on domain controllers and resolved those. Rebooted everything a number of time.
Now the domain looks good, no event viewer errors on domain controller. The Exchange Server looks good, no event viewer errors on mail server. Now when opening Outlook 2013 we are prompted for credentials. We are currently logged in as a valid user that was authenticated by the domain controllers at login. Even when we type the credentials in again they are not accepted and we are continually to prompted. Deleted and recreated the profile a number of time. Tried all 3 options for Outlook Anywhere authentication types. Enabled additional authentication type in IIS for the mail server and autodiscovery service. We cannot open Outlook or access email for any users as we are now prompted over and over and get no where.
