I have several windows 7 and 8 laptops configured with Outlook 2007 or 2010, users have Outlook Anywhere settings for SSL back to our exchange 2003 OWA site. When accessing outside Wi-Fi networks away from the organization I see that the laptops are experiencing a slow connection issue back to the network and every so often timing out not able to connect to the server. This is happening when connecting to almost every Wi-Fi network so I know it can’t be the Wi-Fi service that is the issue. When you connect the laptop at the office Outlook opens without any problems and syncs fine. I’m beginning to think this could be an outside connection issue with our firewall. Laptops were working fine a few weeks back without any problems.
All smartphones and tablet devices are working fine when using OWA settings from outside Wi-Fi networks so email is flowing and working but outlook on the laptops is not when using OWA settings
Any help would be appreciated.
