Since we migrated to O365 we have had a number of people report that their Outlook hangs when opening, or opens but then hangs when you select a mail item or folder.
We put this down to a strange bug and appeared to be fixing it by recreating their MAPI profile in Outlook.
Since the weekend (8th June 13) we have had many, many people reporting the problem. We cannot afford to have the entire IT dept spending all day recreating Outlook profiles to fix this - the problem even comes back on some people after this 'fix'.
Does not seems to be an add-in issue as running outlook /safe does not help.
Not a network or firewall issue as laptop user away from the building have the problem too.
We have users running on XP SP3, Win7 and Win7 SP1 reporting the issue. All Office 2007 SP3.
Some users with the issue have connected shared mailboxes, some do not.
We are running in cached mode.
We can't seem to find a cause and therefore have no idea of a true fix.
We're stalling our users by getting them to use OWA, but they're getting restless.
Please - any ideas?
