Autodiscover (SRV lookup) failing on Outlook 2007

Hi,

Just a brief background first. I'm posting this question simply as a user of Outlook 2007. I am connected to my corporate network with a non-domain connected PC, and I've been seeing some issues with both Outlook and MS Communicator, which seem to point to Autodiscover failing.

Here's testing that I've completed to this point:
- I've right clicked on the Outlook icon and ran 'Test Email Autoconfiguration'. This test fails with 'SRV lookup failed'.
- I performed a capture while doing the Autodiscover test and I do indeed get a lookup failure.
Standard query 0xfa6c  SRV _autodiscover._tcp.team.domain.com
Standard query response 0xfa6c No such name
-If I query the DNS directly, I get a result when I perform a lookup on 'autodiscover.team.domain.com' which sucessfully resolved to the correct autoconfiguration server, however I noticed the SRV lookup is a little different to this '_autodiscover._tcp.team.domain.com'. When I perform a lookup on this domain it fails?
- If I manually attempt to hit the (correct) autodiscover URL from my browser I successfully get a response, and the certificate has been accepted.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
- <Autodiscoverxmlns="<LINK HAD TO BE REMOVED>">
- <Response>
- <Error Time="09:29:06.2668912" Id="3250535161">
  <ErrorCode>600</ErrorCode>
  <Message>Invalid Request</Message>
  <DebugData />
  </Error>
  </Response>
  </Autodiscover>

So my question is... Which domain should be resolving for autoconfiguration? Should I be able to query this SRV record directly?

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
