excel data tables miss gridlines on the recipient side when sending emails from exchange 2010

Hi, recipient cant see grid lines in the email body when we send emails with some Excel tables in email body from exchange 2010 SP1 to one of our client domain who is running Exchange 2003.

what should we do to change the format to HTML so that recipient can see the embeded excel data with out any issues. What changes we should do on our exchange 2010 server.

When looked for view source in email, we found that the language used is following

We test few emails from our old exchange 2010 domain and the recipient receives the emails with no issues. Here if i check the view source i see following:
